As I reflect on my adventure, this little image reflects the vibe and energy I’ve experienced over the last several weeks. My happiest moments have been when I’ve been at the sea, where I could swim, read, think and eat.

There are so many elements that influence a good trip – the weather, logistics, the people you meet. I’m so thankful that all of these elements aligned to create a magical trip.
Greece, especially the Greek Islands, holds a very special place in my heart. It continues to be a place where I feel truly, deeply happy. Even with so many visits over the years, I have a long list of islands I still want to explore, and a few I want very much to return to.

When I am in Greece I feel inspired by both the beauty of the country but the people I meet along the way. We all have come from around the world to share the magic of these islands. To find yourself on a boat ride with people from 6 different countries, all laughing and swimming and eating…..well, it is beautiful.
Thank you to anyone that has followed my journey and enjoyed any of my stories. This blog serves as my travel journal and diary. It is often my companion. I hope that it will also inspire you to think about your own bucket list and travel dreams.
For me, this trip was restorative and healing. I’m so grateful for the world being open and accessible, especially after we saw the world shut down in 2020 and 21. I’m grateful that we can travel in peace and predictability of safety. And now I’m grateful to be home.
As I meet people along the way, there is often a curiosity about a female solo traveler from another country. I had shared that in the last group of islands I visited (the Mama Mia islands) there were a lot of British tourists. In several of these conversations, people commented “Well done, you!” It came with different intonations, sometimes “WELL DONE, you!” And sometimes “Well done, YOU!” I love this phrase but was always flattered that someone was impressed that I could be brave enough to travel in another country on my own. I like to think that it is true – that a trip like this requires some courage. And as I reflect back on it, I feel so empowered and ready to embark on another adventure.
With gratitude to Greece, with gratitude to fellow travelers and with gratitude to those that supported me along the way…thank you.
